Some timers have dip switches
Newest timers such as ET9000 automatically detect line voltage

The other ET series timers have a jumper for selecting voltage.
Jumper is located on back of timer.
By default, the timer arrives with jumper positioned for 240 volts (as illustrated).

Jumper position determines voltage for running clock, timer electronics, and magnetic switches.
The wiring terminals are dry and receive no power when power is applied to timer terminals 1 and 2.

To select 120Volt. Lift and move selector from 240V position to 120Volt position, and push selector down.
Select function using jumper
Some ET series models offer multiple function
ET70000 and 90000 functions are programmed, and timer can perform multiple functions throughout week.

Other ET models, such as ET1125 must be set for function ... and then timer stays in that function until jumper is moved again.

Default setting is SIM for simultaneous. Both relays turn on-off at same time.

Other functions include IND so that timer is able to control two separate loads, each with separate programming.

For independent load operation (2 channel operation), move jumper from default SIM (simultaneous) to IND (independent.

ET1125 timer wiring

ET1125C offers SIM or IND for simultaneous or independent operation.

Example wiring shows how to switch one wire to turn 120V or 240V motor on and off.
Applies to 208V and 277V also.

ET series timer are not rated for 347V, 480V or 600V. If a suitable phase voltage is not available, then use buck-boost transformer.

This is the correct wiring for 120 volt if local codes prohibit switching the Neutral

ET Series timers are rated for low voltage applications, both AC and DC.
The timer clock and relay fuction must be powered by 120V etc on terminals 1 and 2.

For example 120 V Hot and Neutral can be connected to terminals 1 and 2 to power the timer, then same 120V can be used to energize a 24VAC transformer, or 12-24VDC LED driver ... then switch the low voltage load using terminals 3-4 and 5-6.

By code, for safety, a shield must be installed between higher voltage lines and low voltage line ... especially where pool equipment is used.
