Aeon zwave switch inside enclosure? Aeon zwave switch does not have connection for conduit It does not have much space for bending and installing solid copper wire. Instruction sheet shows terminal ends on stranded wire but not solid copper wire. Typical water heater is US has 10-2 NM-B solid wire. I recommend solid wire for house wiring. If you use terminal ends on solid wire, the terminals must be soldered and not crimped. Unknown if torque on screws is strong enough for solid copper wire. Unknown if compression clamps are shaped for and strong enough to secure 10-2 NM building wire to code... can it withstand same impact as normal electric box? For example an outlet box will hold wire securely and is attached firmly to structure as per electric code. If the Aeon is installed inside enclosure as illustrated, then the wiring can accomodate solid wire, and accomodate conduit or wire clamps that meet electric code. Fire safety/ Do not put stranded

Problem1: picture shows 2 different gauge wires under screw plate Problem2: Stranded wire will expand and contract and come loose under screw plate, even if it is the only wire under the screw plate Attach stranded wire and solid wire with wire connector, and run solid copper jumper wire to screw terminal Take photo of wires before starting.
