 How to wire Leviton timers |
| How to wire 6124: 1) Timer-green-wire connects to bare ground wire. 2) Switch has 2 wires. Take switch wires and connect them to timer-black-wire and timer-blue-wire. Choose either one for now. 3) In back of electric box are white wires twisted together and covered with wire nut. Connect timer-white to these wires. 4) If electric box does not have white wires described above, then connect timer-white to ground. Image of timer wiring using step 4 5) Turn on electricity, and push override button. If lights come on, timer is wired correctly. If lights do not come on, then reverse timer-blue and timer-black wires. |

Replaces 3-way switch with Hot lead.
14 dip switches represent 1 hour each
Set dip switches for ON or OFF
Dip switch right = ON
Dip switch left = OFF
Timer program lasts 14 hours
At the end of 14 hours, timer turns lights OFF until original start time is reached 10 hours later.
So timer works 24 hours, but programs are set for 14 hours.
