Mode Replace the initiate switch with a permanent electrical connection between terminals 7 and 2. Application of input voltage to the timer energizes the load and starts the time delay. At the end of the time delay the load is de-energized. To reset, remove the input voltage from the timer. Mode B/ & B2/ Twin timer or cycle timer ... continuous repeated cycle of on-off ... you set duration for On and duration for Off. On and Off periods can be different length. Once timer is set, then it repeats on-off cycle without variation. Timer can run continuously, or stopped when power to timer is switched Off. Mode J/ One shot.... .... input signal from switch or resistor-circuit turns timer On for specified period of time... you set period of time when timer turns Off. Timer awaits next input signal, and then repeats same sequence. Mode A/ On delay.... input signal from switch or resistor-circuit activates delay period... when delay expires, timer turns ON... you set duration of delay. Timer awaits next input signal, and then repeats same sequence. Delay terminates when power is off. Mode A/ Off delay.... input signal from switch or resistor-circuit turns timer ON for duration of delay... when delay expires, timer turns Off... you set duration of delay. Timer awaits next input signal, and then repeats same sequence. If power is interrupted then reapplied, the the delay starts over. |

Add layers of control
using multiple
timers. The H3CR was set to mode J (repeat cycle to twin timer) and the AH3 is standard dely timer. The controls are used for christmas light display that turns ON at a set time using the THC15 timer, and the delay timer controls how many hours the display works, before switching to another display or turning OFF display etc. The twin timer is used on two searate circuits, one circuit with white lights and other with blue lights, causing the white and blue lights to blink alternatively. One-shot timer Select Mode J for one-shot Illustration shows typical 120Volt wiring.. Hot connects to terminal 7, and Neutral connect to terminal 2. Install jumper wire between 7 and 8 to put 120V to timer relay. When timer receives no power on terminals 7 and 2, then timer is OFF, then NC terminal 5 has power. Connect Load to terminal 5 and terminal 2. When timer receives power to terminals 7 and 2, then timer is ON, and NO terminal 6 has power, and terminal 5 has no power. Connect Load to terminal 6 and terminal 2. pin H3CR is wired same as 8-pin timer, but offers start input using
Momentary contact push button, or timer with dry terminals. Hot connects to terminal 10, and Neutral connects to terminal 2. Install jumper wire between 10 and 11 to put 120V to timer relay. When timer receives no power on terminals 7 and 2, then timer is OFF, then N.C. normally closed terminal 9 has power. Connect Load to terminals 8 and 2. When timer receives power to terminals 10 and 2, then timer is ON, and N.O. normally open terminal 8 has power, Connect Load to terminals 9 and 2. Complete circuit with neutrals at terminal 2 |
 Reset / 11 pin modelsMomentarily connect and disconnect 100-240 V power to terminals 6-7 reset timer operation. Use a switch, push button or use a timer, such as 7-day timer, twin timer, cycle timer, timer module etc to temporarily add and then disconnect power to terminals 6-7. When power to terminals 6-7 turns off, the H3CR operation begins again. 100-240 V supply voltage must be continuous on terminals 10 and 2. The H3CR is then controlled by separate switch or timer.
