code: 240 volt 15 amp timers can be connected to 240 volt 15 and 20 and 30 amp circuits. 240 volt 20 amp timers can be connected to 240 volt 20 and 30 amp circuits. (but not 15 amp circuit) All timers are required to have ground plug. Do not cut off. If circuit requires GFCI. Test GFCI each time using test and reset buttons. 1 GFCI per circuit. the window air conditioner is rated 15 amp, then the breaker can be 15
or 20 amp ... but the outlet and plug must be rated 15 amp. Note: the 240 volt 15 amp plug will fit into the 20 amp outlet, but the 20 amp plug will not fit into the 15 amp outlet. |
