How to wire open frame relay |
 30 amp, 2-pole, open frame power relay with enclosure SPDT relay.... different from DPST contactor. Both perform same job. Both have 2 sets contacts. Open frame relay SPDT has extra set contacts so a second load can be turned on-off exactly opposite from off-on other load.  Larger image Toggle between car charger and water heater or pump, or any 240 volt load. Use any 15 amp timer, home automation module ... or ordinary 15 amp household toggle switch. Switch or timer or automation turns the relay on or off. When relay is on, then the NO terminal sends power to car charger. When relay is off, the NC contact sends power to pump, motor, water heater etc. |

Change leads for starter coil, and motor will reverse. Always check the configuration before wiring the relay and switch shown below. |
