How
to wire 1-pole 120Volt GFCI/ AFCI circuit breaker
Single pole GFCI or AFCI
Load
means: outdoor
subpanel, outdoor outlet, bath outlet,
kitchen outlet etc
Hot wire going to Load connects to breaker
in ordinary way.
White neutral going to Load
connects to breaker instead of Neutral busbar.
So the white Neutral wire must be changed when switching to GFCI/AFCI
breaker.
GFCI/AFCI breakers have
coiled white
wire.
The coiled white
wire connects to Neutral busbar.
Bare ground wire connects to ground busbar
in ordinary way.

to wire 2-pole 240Volt GFCI/ AFCI circuit breaker
The ordinary 240Volt breaker
has 2 Hot wires.
Ordinary 240 volt breaker does not have white
wire.
The GFCI/ AFCI breaker is the same with as ordinary breaker.
Be sure to match brand or type to fit your breaker box.
The GFCI/ AFCI 240Volt breaker has a coiled white wire.
The coiled white wire connects to neutral busbar.
