How to climb on roof
I was house painter and construction guy during my working career. I was on the ladder.This information is based on real experience
Check ladder before climbing
Must be latched both rungs, on both sides.Check for cracks and bent bolt.
Use fender washer on both sides if aluminum has tiny cracks.
Bolt is special hardened bolt.
Do not replace with regular bolt, must be hardened bolt. Ask at hardware store.
Do not use ladder that is bent, or was bent
