Which is best point of use water heater
How to install point of use water heater/
2023
Under counter water heater
Remember this about a small tank in bathroom or kitchen etc ... it's great at 'instant' hot water for washing hands ...
But can be problematic for shower ... because there is 1-2 minute worth of cold water that will follow after hot is depleted from small tank.

You can offset the 'cold water sandwich' by installing 20-30 gallon tank instead of 6 gallon ... but maybe the 6 gallon tank would solve problem quicker....
Another angle, if you are able to access pipes, would be to use small tank to supply hot for sink faucets, and leave small tank out of equation for shower.

OR ... lol ... a typical shower might only use 10-12 gallons 120°F hot from small tank to yield 15-18 gallon of 104°F shower.
So what is best answer ?? I don't know for sure.

Under counter heaters are 120V, 1000-1500 watt single element.... higher wattage gives more hot per single continuous draw
But some 20 models have 120v or 240v.
The advantage of 240v, gives max hot per single continuous draw.

What about tankless under counter heaters?
Typically, tankless cannot be repaired, and consume more energy per gallon of hot water than other types of heaters.
