Spanish fever of the warm coast mountains

Original

Spanish fever
Of the warm coast mountains
Glistened Pebbles
Life lost below
God’s earthen damn
Lie here alone
cold on a warm bed’s sheet
thinking of these things past
of a dog’s ear frozen in the night
and a love lost to time
of fear and purity
the pain inside
images aren’t so clear
waves crashing afar
giant trees in heavy wind
blurred window images
warmth and yellow
I miss her so
But my death will never
know her life
Images of ideals dying
With my heart
And that nurse just said
I’m sorry
Vision is a memory
But tears still falling rain
Her sweet sadness
So gentle and beauty was her touch
I feel for her that I cry so long
Amid all that she dreamed
I know of none
My sorrow is of pity
For that love which never was
Turning to wave goodbye
I was so alone
The weather so cold
My friends none
My hatreds deep
My god has abandoned me and now I must turn
Life a glimpse of heaven that only now I remember I never saw
God in the real must
surely take a merciful
view of such a fool
Lying broken and dying
far from home on a foreign
beach like an ill-fated ship that once stood
