Centerpoint complaint

Several weeks ago the electricity started turning off once a day. I had Centerpoint remove the meter band so I could test my breakers. But then I discovered my neighbor was having same problem.

I called Centerpoint to report that 2 houses were having identical disconnects. The CP rep told me they'd test the transformer on the pole.

Weeks later, no test was done on the transformer. the disconnects continued. When CP came out to look at the problem today, instead of testing the transformer, they put the band back on my meter. So I'm back at square 1.

I called again today >>> the lady did not understand the problem, and kept repeating 'the meter band' grawwk >>> she simply did not understand that the problem is located at the transformer.

I called a second time today ...  not surprisingly the first call today produced no result >> by the way the phone numbers give you a run-around, jeeze, please CP, make it more difficult >> I asked the second CP rep if she'd write on the repair order that both houses have the same identical problem about once a day<> after much wrangling, she said she'd put the info on the ticket.

Frankly I doubt anything was written on the ticket >> which is probably why the first phone request was mishandled.

I asked the phone rep if there was a customer complaint dept >>> she started with the word 'unfortunately' which means a company is happily ignoring customers.

Boy I can hardly wait until Centerpoint organizes all my problems with a smart meter that fits me into a variable rate so I can run around the gerbil wheel some more.
