The fate of each card was delivered in a handwritten note

It's a time of change in a small 1950's town in deep southern United States, as sharecroppers and town squares are getting pressured by larger economic interests.
The notes, written in a nearly illegible scrawl, arrive at a critical point in each person's life, and alter events in the future.
The fate of one town, and the people who live there, are profoundly affected.
You have a choice, but don't ignore the note.
